IIT Bombay has released the official notification for JAM 2026 (Joint Admission Test for Masters). This national-level entrance examination is conducted for admission to M.Sc., M.Sc.-Tech, MS (Research), M.Sc.-Ph.D. Dual Degree, Joint M.Sc.-Ph.D., and other postgraduate programs at the IITs.

Important Dates:

• Start of Online Registration: 5 September 2025

• Last Date for Application Submission: 12 October 2025

• Examination Date: 15 February 2026 (Sunday)

• Result Announcement: 18 March 2026 (Tentative)

Test Papers Offered:

JAM 2026 will be conducted in the following seven test papers:

• Chemistry (CY)

• Geology (GG)

• Mathematics (MA)

• Physics (PH)

• Biotechnology (BT)

• Economics (EN)

• Mathematical Statistics (MS)

Eligibility:

• Candidates who have completed or are in the final year of an undergraduate degree are eligible.

• Indian Nationals and Foreign Nationals with Indian degrees can apply as per the guidelines of the admitting institutes.

• No age limit.

Application Fee:

• Female/SC/ST/PwD: ₹1000 (one paper), ₹1350 (two papers)

• All Others: ₹2000 (one paper), ₹2700 (two papers)
