IIT JAM 2024 Exam Date Out

 

IIT Madras’ official website, jam.iitm.ac.in, has posted the IIT JAM 2024 announcement. Students can register for IIT JAM 2024 with their working email address and Mobile number on official website.

What is IIT JAM ?

The IIT Joint Admission Test for Master of Science (IIT JAM) is a national-level entrance exam for master’s programs in science offered by the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) and the Indian Institute of Science (IISc). It is conducted by one of the IITs on a rotational basis. In 2024, it will be conducted by IIT Madras.

Application Process

The application process for the IIT JAM 2024 exam will begin in September 5, 2023. The application form will be available online on the IIT JAM website. The application fee is Rs. 1800/- for general candidates and Rs. 900/- for SC/ST/PwD candidates & female.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible to take the IIT JAM 2024 exam, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Candidates who have completed an undergraduate degree or currently studying in the final year of undergraduate programme are eligible to apply for JAM 2024 examination.
• Foreign Nationals with Indian degree are eligible to apply, subject to the policy of the Admitting Institutes.
• They must have a minimum of 60% aggregate marks (or equivalent grade) in their bachelor’s degree.
• They must be a citizen of India or a person of Indian origin.

• Exam Date: February 11, 2024
• Exam Time: 9:30 am to 12:30 pm (IST)
• Exam Mode: Computer-Based Test (CBT)
• Exam Language: English
• Exam Pattern: The IIT JAM 2024 exam will consist of seven papers, one for each of the following subjects:
  • Mathematics
  • Physics
  • Chemistry
  • Biology
  • Economics
  • Statistics
  • Computer Science
• Marks: Each paper will be of 100 marks.
• Duration: Each paper will be of 3 hours duration.
• Questions: The questions in the IIT JAM 2024 exam will be of multiple-choice (MCQ) format.
• Negative Marking: There will be negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong MCQ.
